Incident 041/2022
The rescue team were requested by the North West Ambulance Service late in the afternoon on Monday 19th September to assist with a 78-year-old female who had tripped and fallen in a wood near Over Kellet, North Lancashire.
Team members arrived to assist the Ambulance Paramedics who were with the casualty who had injured her shoulder and hip, the rescue team provided casualty care and provided the extraction by mountain rescue stretcher back to the ambulance, where our casualty was re-assessed and then transported into hospital by the ambulance crew.
16 volunteers of Bowland Pennine Mountain Rescue attended the incident which took 3 hours to complete.
