Incident 060/2025
Friday 26th September 2025 at 11.30am, the rescue Team were contacted by Lancashire Constabulary to attend to a 78-year-old male who had fallen from his motorbike.
As the Salter Fell track is off the main road, the Team responded and once on scene carried out a medical assessment and the initial injury appeared to be a Clavicle injury, everything else seemed okay.
Team members then made the male casualty safe and we drove him off the fell in one of our mountain rescue off road vehicles to the road head and handed him over to the Ambulance Service for further medical assessment and potential treatment.
14 volunteers of Bowland Pennine Mountain Rescue Team were involved in this incident which took over 3 hours to complete.
We wish our casualty a speedy recovery.
