Incident 010/2026

On 26th March 2026 at 12.34hrs, we were called by the North West Ambulance Service to assist with a 75-year-old male who had fallen sustaining a head injury whilst out walking in the Silverdale area.

Once Team members were on scene, along with our Partners the Ambulance Service and Coastguard, we managed to walk the patient to safety across the marsh land to safety where the land ambulance was parked.

North West Ambulance Paramedics, Coastguard and Bay Search & Rescue along with 9 volunteers of Bowland Pennine Mountain Rescue Team were present during this operation.

We wish the casualty a speedy recovery and hopefully he will be out and about enjoying the countryside soon.
