Incident 023/2026

On Monday evening 6.05pm 25th May, we were contacted by the North West Ambulance Service to attend to a 62-year-old female who had tripped and had slipped down a grassy embankment in Silverdale, just off the coast line.

With Paramedics already scene, we were requested to evacuate the female on our mountain rescue Bell stretcher across fields to an awaiting ambulance, where the female was re-assessed and then transported into hospital.

15 volunteers of Bowland Pennine Mountain Rescue Team were involved in this local rescue which took just over 3 hours to complete.

We wish our casualty a speedy recovery and hopefully she is out and about walking soon.
