Incident 002/2023

The North West Ambulance Service called the rescue Team on Sunday 8th January 2023 just after 12 o’clock (midday) to the Silverdale area for a 57-year-old male walker who had fallen in the crag area, injuring his ankle.

On arrival, the team assessed the situation and luckily a passerby Doctor had already given mild pain relief and had splinted the injury.

The Team then carried out further assessments and carried out Casualty Care, then the injured walker was stretchered on a mountain rescue Bell a short distance to an awaiting ambulance.

Post incident, the walker had his ankle reset in hospital and is now on the way to a quick recovery.
