Incident 011/2024

On Saturday 23rd March at 11.11 am, the rescue team were called by the North West Ambulance Service to assist with a 59-year-ol male who had fallen while out walking in the woods. With reports of a head injury and the area being described as having rough terrain, a full callout of the rescue team ensued.

Once on scene, the casualty was able to walk to the land ambulance with members of the ambulance service, therefore, once safe and at the road head the rescue team stood down.

We thanks team members of Kendal Search & Mountain Rescue Team who were also supporting us today and we wish our casualty a speedy recovery and hopefully he will return to Silverdale soon.

11 volunteers of Bowland Pennine Mountain Rescue Team responded to this incident which lasted 1 hour and 15 minutes.
