Incident 001/2026
Friday 2nd January 2026, our first request of the new year was from the North West Ambulance Service to attend to a 68-year-old female who had fallen whilst out walking in the Silverdale area.
Team members were quickly on scene to attend to the lady who had sustained a lower leg injury. The Team stretchered our casualty about 1km along the marsh to the roadhead and she was then taken into hospital by the family.
15 volunteers of Bowland Pennine Mountain Rescue Team were involved in this incident which took just over 3 hours to complete.
We wish our lady casualty a speedy recovery and we hope she is out and about walking again soon.
