Incident 040/2026
Thursday 24th September the Team were called by the North West Ambulance Service to locate and treat a 19-year-old female in the Tarnbrook area with pain in her feet, she was described as walking the Wyre way with a heavy rucksack.
Team members arrived in the area and deployed on the fell, however after a period of time searching, we couldn’t find her.
Whilst we were searching the area, we received the news that she had managed to walk off the fell with her partner and had made her way to Clitheroe.
The Team stood down, 17 volunteers of Bowland Pennine MRT were actively engaged in this incident that last nearly 3 hours.
