Incident 010/2023

On Sunday 19th February 2023, at 13.30hrs the rescue team were contacted to assist with a fallen 33-year-old female who had been out walking in the White Coppice area, West Pennine Moors.

Once the rescue team had arrived, we assessed our casualty and it appeared she had a serious lower leg injury.

The rescue team applied a vacuum splint to immobilise the limb, then stretchered her a short distance to one of our 4×4 Landrover Ambulances then drove to the awaiting land ambulance and transferred our casualty over to the waiting Paramedics.

Post incident, it was confirmed that the walker had a broken Tib and Fib.
