Incident 036/2026
Wednesday 12th August at 17.55hr the rescue team were contacted by the North West Ambulance Service to rescue a 14 year-old male who had fallen from height, injuring his back.
Suffering from back pain, once the Team were on scene a medical assessment was carried out and it was determined that his injuries were sufficient to bring in a rescue helicopter from Caernarvon. Rescue 336 arrived and the young casualty was winched onboard, then he was flown to Alder Hey Children’s Hospital for further medical assessment and treatment.
21 volunteers of Bowland Pennine Mountain Rescue Team and Bristow’s Air crew attended this incident. We wish the young man a speedy and healthy recovery.
