Incident 053/2025
Monday 18th August 2025 at 2pm we were contacted by the North West Ambulance Service to attend to a 77-year-old male who had fallen in the disused Quarry area of White Coppice.
The rescue Team responded quickly and once on scene we carried out an assessment where it was determined the casualty had a potential broken lower leg.
Our numbers were short today so we requested the help and assistance from our neighbour Bolton Mountain Rescue Team and between us we stretchered the casualty off the hill to a nearby land ambulance which was parked at the White Coppice cricket ground.
11 volunteers from Bowland Pennine and Team members from Bolton MRT were engaged in this rescue which took almost 4 hours to complete.
