On Saturday 4th October at 2.07 pm, our rescue Team were requested by Bolton MRT to assist with an incident near Wigan, where assistance was needed with a 79-year-old male to be extricated from a wood area.
However, as we were progressing towards the scene, we were stood down responding as there were sufficient agencies on scene, we then returned to base.
12 volunteers of Bowland Pennine Mountain Rescue Team were responding to this incident and we wish the injured male a quick and swift recovery.
