Incident 025/2025
Wednesday evening 23rd April 2025, during our Annual General Meeting at 21.20pm, we were contacted by the North West Ambulance Service to attend an open area of the fell called Windy Clough, just off Clougha Pike in North Lancashire.
A 20-year-old male was in distress after using and taking Psychedelics, which in turn was causing medical issues.
The Team abandoned our AGM and attended as soon as we could. Once on the fell, we were met by 2 of his friends, we checked them all over and the male in distress was eventually walked back to Rig Lane, where we then carried out further medical checks and handed him over to the Paramedics for further treatment and hospitalisation. In attendance were Lancashire Police along with 23 Bowland Pennine Mountain Rescue volunteers.
