Saturday 25th November 2023 the rescue team were contacted by the North West Ambulance Service to attend to a fallen mountain biker who had injured his knee on Withnell Moor.
Teams members, once on scene treated the knee and then evacuated him by using one of our off road Landrovers, he was then handed over to the ambulance crew and then, after further treatment was transferred in Chorley hospital.
14 volunteers of Bowland Pennine MRT were involved in this incident which took just under 3 hours to complete.
We wish our 18 year-old casualty a speedy and healthy recovery.
