The rescue Team were requested from the North West Ambulance Service to assist with a female who had slipped whilst out walking in the country park. Once on scene, the rescue Team examined the 75-year-old lady and it was determined that she had possibly broken her left ankle.

As our casualty was near the Top Lodge at the Yarrow Valley Country Park, the rescue Team were able to access close to the Casualty with a team vehicle. As she was being treated by the Team, we used our pain reliving gas ‘Entonox’ and used a splint on the injured ankle, then we transported her by vehicle to the Visitor Centre where a land Ambulance had arrived.
